has anyone else who has been riding in the rain or days where the snow has melted noticed a lot of back spray coming up from the rear tire.:violin: its the first thing i have been really surprised by, i can't tell if its the gap on the tag that it's coming through or just because the tire is wide???

Yes, i've got the same problem.
Bit of both I think, but fitting a tail tidy hasn't helped, so mainly the wide tyre I suspect.
Thinking about a subtle black plastic shield, to see if it helps.

exactly the info I was hoping for, I was thinking about the tidy kit for that purpose. if you figure something out that looks good please post some pics.

Dirt shield

I've fitted my shield.
Version 1, not tested yet but looks like it should help.
Note the slightly hidden EvoTech tail tidy, plus the modified Ventura rails from a Monster 1200.

Btw, before I fitted the tail tidy I tried some gaffer tape over the gap on the numberplate extended carrier arm.
Nice !!
It didn't make any difference, still has dirt up under the seat and on top of the seat :-(

thats very similar to what i was thinking. let me know how it works when you ride in the rain next. I could do something like that but I don't have a tail tidy kit yet and would have to buy one before making any changes. I want to make sure the one I buy will be right for what ever I do.
