How far are you guys going between the 1st and 2nd oil change (so 600 mile service is already done).

Are you going another 600 ? Going up to 3,000 ? I'm thinking of doing another oil change after 1,000 (so at 1,600 or so miles) for the second and then change every 3,000. What are you guys doin ?

The service manual says.....

after first service, then again after 7.500 miles...

If you ride the bike hard, i would do it one time between the two services...

Depends very much on your usage...

After every race weekend/track day is sound practice.

Otherwise, 7500 seems quite long for our bike. For regular street riding I stick to no more than 3000 miles. Motorcycle transmissions and wet clutches impose sheer that wreaks havoc on the polymers that determine/control viscosity at temp, i.e. the oil loses viscosity over time much faster than in cars.
