I got one the same made locally for AU$40.

Just a suggestion but I covered the back of my large and small shields with some heat tape. It's about 1inch wide and consists of a metal reflective layer, fiber heat matt and adhesive layer. I just layed it up and trimmed around the bolt areas.

I dont know if its necessary but I wasnt sure how CF woulf take high heat long term.

Cheers

Pretty sure I know the stuff you are talking about but considering the cans are wrapped in CF, I don’t see anything getting hotter than them. I think you would be safe without it but then again, I doubt it would hurt either.

Could you post up a few pix? I don't mean of the tape side, just some installed shots.

Hi,

Yup, Carbonworld in Germany or their shop on Ebay.com

www.carbonworld.de

They supply the heat reflecting backing as well... that's important so your carbon doesn't get cooked.

I was thinking about it for when I install my full system.

If you are running it, where did you buy it and how much?

Does Shift-Tech offer it?

Thanks.

Jason

This place has both the large and small shield and they already come with heat shielding material. you can check pictures of it in my album.

Thanks...

Is this where you ordered yours from?

I see what you are saying about the tape, that does not need to be added to the Termi shield does it?

you don't have to add tape to either of the shields but this company sells the shields with it already. I got both my shields from them.
So you would not add it then to the Termi Full Shield?

the small shield is nice because the stock black painted one burns to a brown color pretty quick.

Well I figure if I am going to isntall it that the best time would be when I am installing the full Termi... I mean can it be installed there after, just from the side or no?

One thing, the stick on heat tape may or may not be required to keep the CF safe, remember the small shield is on the header, but it will make them a more effective shield.

Hey Jason,
I'm sure you know it, but when you buy the Full Termi system, there is a CF heat shield included. It looks like this piece may be in addition? Never seen it before, but the piece that comes with the system looks good.
