Alright so; I purchased this bike about a year ago off of Facebook marketplace. It is a 2008 1098s with an aftermarket exhaust and that’s it. Recently, I be been having an issue where when I’m in any gear around 5k-6k rpm and I give it hard throttle, the bike will just do nothing. Makes a weird sound (like a misfire kinda) but the rpms don’t increase or decrease from where they are. If I very slowly give the bike throttle in the same rev range, it will go all the way to redline. Anyone have a clue what’s going on?? New coils and plugs, new fuel pump. I’ve heard voltage regulator might be an issue.

Sounds like it's an issue with coils and/or plugs. Check ECU cable to make sure it's grounded properly.
