Bit of a weird one this, like you all the ones I've seen have been what I would call satin black - not completely matte but certainly not high gloss as in your photo.
The plot thickens when you look at the paint codes for the bike they list this:
Racing Grey part no. 928D.346 (Palinal);
black finish 4 gloss part no. 248.514 (PPG);
clear lacquer 20 gloss part no. 923I0652 (Palinal);
red frame and black rims.

Edit: Just talked to a car painter mate of mine and he said that Palinal paint code for the clear lacquer comes back as a 2K clear matte lacquer which explains what we've been seeing.(as per attached pic)
Hard to tell in that photo but is the grey gloss as well? It should be matte as well because of the clear coat.
So, I'm guessing it's either been dropped and repainted (albeit very well, lack of matte finish excepted) or a previous owner didn't like the matte finish and had it resprayed.
Looking at the photo it looks like the bike may be at a dealer, maybe get them to do some homework and find out the real story from the previous owner?

The trick is to pop the gas cap off. Two colors at that area, shows it's not OEM. Pull fairing, no one is going to waste paint and time spraying and masking off the inner fairing parts. So over spray would show up as per redo. Doubt someone is going to bondo scratches. Looks more OEM than some spray booth finish.

Thanks I'm not buying the motorcycle as I don't want to get the motorcycle resprayed bike to it's original
