Reference Ducati's claim of 160HP, manufacturer's claims are always reported as HP measured at the crankshaft. (although most seem to be measured at the brochure) If you take the aproximate 15% drivetrain loss off of that figure, it comes out to 136 rear wheel HP.

Another example, when the ZX-10 first came out, the factory claimed 184 HP. Less 15% drivetrain loss, that comes to 153 rear wheel HP, which is about what most buyers reported from their dyno runs.

It's all relative. Forget it and enjoy your bike.
