Welcome to the forum!
Have you done any maintenance to this bike's clutch and/or hydraulics recently? It could be a poorly assembled clutch from work done OR simply not enough pressure in your hydraulic system. These bikes are very prone to leaking seals and air infiltration into the clutch slave cylinder. The air bubbles don't compress, so when you pull the lever, you loose a lot of hydraulic force. My guess is, you've simply got old fluid AND/OR air trapped in your clutch hydraulics. If you've not touched the clutch lever and clutch system recently, first thing I'd do is bleed the clutch hydraulics.
