Hi, I have a 2014 1199S it has about 2200 miles I bought it brand new few months ago, I only ride it mostly once a week commuting, my issue is that around 4500k to about 5300k rpm I get the feel of hesitation of the engine and it feels like the bike want to stall, it only happens around this range, I even try the race mode same issue, I took it to Berts to have them look at it and the technician took it out for a ride and they do feel the hesitation and told me there is no software upgrade on the ECU and it is not throwing out any error code and told me its normal and I just need to ride it out, It did not happen until recently. Anyone have this issue, I tried to search the forum I couldn't find anything.

Without any error codes it might be fuel quality or the fuel system.

Could be a TPS sensor acting up, fouled-out spark plugs, or an injector as well.

Does the bike have any upgrades or mods?

I only did rearset no engine mod, everything else is pretty much stock, just strange that its only at that range.

Happened to me a few times when i bought my S in 12, they changed the spark plugs. Never happened again. The plugs had a good amount of carbon buildup on them for so little miles.

Your seat-of-the-pants dyno is correct. Take a look at the stock engine performance curve below. Torque actually drops in the 4,500 – 5,300 rpm range causing horsepower to flatten-out there as well.
