Hello,
I've got a Monster Evo 2011 with 7k miles.

Could be a coincidence but, since getting my 14T front sprocket and new tyres (pilot road 4) changed about 1-2 months ago:

- engine has cut out two or three times on me
- DTC error kicked in once while driving (reduced to 5mph and no acceleration) and I had to stop and start electronics to get rid of it - I read this was a sometimes fault with people

however, the bigger fault is today when I got to work my engine warning light was on with the engine running.

Could all this be caused by the sprocket or a bigger unrelated fault about to happen on my Monster?

thanks.

sprocket should have nothing to do with the electronics. many people change the front and the rear at the same time with no ill side effects since its only the mechanical part being swapped. my advice is to take or have the dealer pick up your bike, if they offer it, and have a diagnostic run on it. some dealers only charge one hour of labor for the diagnostic. since you have some weird issues I wouldn't ride her right now. just my opinion.
