Hi guys.

How is the Hypermotard to ensure, compared to streetbike, superbike's.. You name it ?

I don't own a Hypermotard but when I got the insurance for my 1098 they mistakenly logged it as a 'motard. The insurance was less than half what it is now which is why I am changing companies.

Rates of course very greatly by location, company, etc. but for me the Hypermotard is half the cost of the 1098s to insure.

I live in N. California and have State Farm Ins. My rates are $220 for 6 months for full coverage with a $1,000 deductible. Funny thing was the only thing they asked when quoting the policy was brand and displacement. Ducati - 1100cc was it. I asked them if a Hypermotard was less expensive than a 1098 and they said no, just brand and displacement determine the rate. Regardless, it seems pretty reasonable.

It was right in line with my R1100rt and TE 610. No sportbike gouging.

I got state farm and they base it on displacement. The HM costs me about $2 a month more than my Kawi ZX10r just because the motor is bigger. (they don't care that it puts out half the HP).

I have full coverage for less than $375 yr. Can't remember the exact numbers. The new Hyper S that I just bought is less then my 04' Tuono Racing.
