What's the best way to remove water and dirt stains from the exhaust header without damaging the gold paint on them?
After one ride in the rain the headers look terrible with water marks mostly along the top curve and can't be removed with just soap and water... it's as if it's baked into the color already

The spots are chemical reaction to whatever was on the pipe, water, salt, dirt etc. So it is pretty much oxidation. To remove it you will need to remove the oxidation. Few ways to do it but I would start by polishing, Autosol would probably work.
