This isn't even a stressed strap. Of course the whole strap is revetted into the cans. Looks like I'm going to have to break out the old arc welder.

Nope never dropped it. I have no clue how it could have snapped. It's likely just an anomaly in the manufacturing of that particular strap. I must have gotten one with some impurities in the metal.

I have seen some used cans on line for ~100. So I might just buy a set and take these off and take it to a friend with some welding expertise. Also I was wondering are there any Akrapovic Carbon Fiber type cans that don't require an ECU adjustment?

To me (no tracking / racing) a gain of a few ponies inst worth the extra effort / headaches.
