Exhaust weights...the numbers

I was installing a full Termingnoni exhaust on my bike last night, so i weighed both and I am posting the results.
Installing the full system will take 2.25 lbs off your bike. Most of the weight savings, 1.3 lbs comes from removal of the butterfly valve controller and cables. The Termignoni mufflers are lighter by 2 lbs each, but the larger diameter pipes are heavier than the stock pipes.
So just installing Termi slip ons will save you the most weight..4 lbs
Intalling the full termi system will save you 2.25 lbs
Taking out the baffles will save you another .7 lbs :)

Thanks!! One more question, is the DB level to loud with the killers out?

Ah the fun, good job with the numbers.
weights..

Correction to the weights..When i weighed the exhaust, I forgot to subtract the weight of the slip on connectors that were supplied, but of course not used when installing the whole system. The slip on connectors weigh 1.65 pounds..So total weight savings of the full system was 3.9 lbs..Almost identicle to the weight savings of 4 lbs if installing slip ons only..

As far as the sound...With the baffles removed, the pipes are loud. Too loud if you were to ask my nieghbours...But in my opinion, the sweetest sound I've ever heard. Better than my RC51 with Satos. And I thought those sounded incredible!

Better than a RC51!!??
Sacrilege!!
So does the exhaust have to be installed by a dealer? Isn't there some tuning that has to be done?
Ducati "recommends" to check the mixture at idle speed after a new ecu is installed. "this proceedure must be performed before the engine is started for the first time after the ECU has been replaced"
My bike started and ran better than it ever did with the stock exhaust system without re-initializing the TPS. I will however run my bike over to my Ducati dealer and have them check the mixture at idle, not because i think it needs it, just so they can't find an excuse to void my warranty.
PS..what a HUGE difference with the full Termi exhaust. The bike pulls much harder, runs smoother and sounds ohhh so much better. Best 2500 bucks I ever spent!
Thats good news, I can save $220 by doing it myself.
we still need sound clip of full termi with DB killers removed...anyone got a lead on one?
