I installed the Termi exhaust and there are some extra parts that do not seem to go anywhere. I also have a couple of bolts and washers that were probably for the heatshield, but I used the originals since they looked better (black color instead of silver). Here are the extra parts:

I thought the left bottom bolt and nut were for the cans, but it was too big, so I had to use the original one.

Also, what bolt goes here (below the heatshield):

I assumed it was is the one in the bottom right in the first picture. Also, when I install the heel guard it hits the CF heatshield. Is this supposed to happen?

Hey bud, if my memory serves me, the top two are replacements for the ECU, but I too reused the originals. Like slob said, the bottom right one with washer should be to hold the pipes together (as long as it is long enough). Finally, it seems that the lower left one, with TWO washers and locknut should be for the point where the pipes are attached to the frame. I too reused my stock bolt, and was too lazy to swap it out. Also, if you used the stock black bolts for the heat shield, you should have left over two short silver bolts. By the way, what I say is based on what I THINK, since I didn't have any instructions.

I wouldn't worry too much, as long as everything is buttoned down pretty tight and the bolts are long enough where you have them, it's all good.

Roberto

Almost forgot, the heel guard on mine just barely clears the heat shield by covering a small portion of it. I guess you could bend it a little if it doesn't clear, as long as it doesn't get in your way when you ride.

Thanks, robertog, I think you are right about what those bolts are for. I find it odd that they include new ECU bolts, but not a new bolt where it holds the cans together.....but no big deal.
