Just a question. I have a 2012 848 EVO and the factory alarm went off today. A rather piercing sound. This was the first time it's been activated. I keep the bike in the garage and nobody tampered with it. But, the wife said that a bicycle was leaning on it. Anyway, I leave the key in the ignition and so I turn the ignition to the on position. Turned it off. The alarm was still sounding. I repeated the same steps and the alarm stopped. I referred to the manual and could not find anything related to the alarm. Any insight would be welcome.

They don't come with a factory fitted alarm only an immobilisor, hence why it's not mentioned in the owners manual.

It must have been fitted post factory by a dealer or alarm fitter. You really need to find out which model it is and the manufacturers website might have a manual you can download.
