Not really Ducati related, other than he's riding a Superleggera now, but still an amazing and difficult story to read. Worth it.

Efff....the link just won't work. Go to motorcycle dot com/features, then search for the article "Motorcycle Therapy...The Michael Czysz story.

WERA869,

Agreed John Britten and Michael Czysz were both ahead of their time in motorcycle design. Somehow Britten's VR1000/VR1100 frameless design race bikes not only won races, but did so with minimal computer aided design.

Sad stuff, he is such a great innovator and pioneer. His designs were stuff other manufactures could only dream of. Yet, at his greatest moments, something always fell through; finances, rule changes, sponsorship. His successes at the TT's have been amazing and well worth all the years of anguish.

Its unfortunate that he pushed himself to the limit and perhaps, thats what led him into having cancer to begin with. Steve Jobs was the same way, absolutely pushing himself until his body couldn't take anymore. These great minds, don't think about diet, environmental concerns or stresses, they're busy using their gifts to further push humanity forward.

Micheal's cancer is so developed, there isn't much he can do besides ride bikes and enjoy his last days. Its nice to see him doing just that.
