Are the grips on a 1098 any different than a typical jap bike?

I want to replace my grips but The brand driven doesnt list the 1098 on their site and tech support was a girl who seemed like she guessed when she said they would. To replace grips on my R1 was as simple as applying some hair spray on the tube and literally sliding it on but the duc grips i seen at the local shop had some type of throttle attachment thing. Hope this makes sense.

Grips are the same from bike to bike. They are 7/8 size bars. Sometimes the difference is in the plastic throttle tube flange at the top beside the switch housing. We've installed Driven, Rizoma, Kuryakn, Renthal etc etc grips on 1x98's, 848's and all makes of Japanese sport bikes. They all fit.

Our crowning achievement at the shop was installing a pair of Rizoma grips on a Pani. Due to the fly by wire throttle.......the right side is a fair bit different than the previous Ducati's.
