So I finally got to ride my bike a little...
at about the 200mile mark I couldn't control myself and brought the front end up over the crest of a hill, carried it through 2nd and 3rd gear, nice and smooth... until I put it down!
I went into a serious tank slapper, really close to crashing!
I brought the bike in to the dealer, the head tube bearing was LOOSE!
The dealer torqued it to the propper value, and I tried another wheelie, problem solved.
I went back two weeks later and the dealer had found 6 more new 1098's with the same issue.
This is pretty dangerous.
If anyone has had any issue with tank slappers, you should bring it in.
