another option does exist

You could purchase from TechnoResearch their VDSTS-standard software. With shipping it cost me an even $200. I purchased one a month or so ago and used it to reset my TPS and adjust the fuel trim.

How hard is the software to use? How do you know what are the propper settings.....?

Could you explain a little more whats involved. I just bought the twin termi's and thought they were plug and play. Now i'm bummed because the nearest Ducati dealer is 1.5 hours away.

Just joined the forum a few minutes ago. Just got a HM-S a few days ago. I changed the exhaust to the slip-on Termignoni's, but left the included air intake and the ECU 'til Monday night since I have a Tuesday appt to have the TPS "initiated". I'm assuming I can ride the bike casually with just the exhaust change-over until Tuesday. NOW the questions. What is a "DDS"? I'm assuming a Diagnostic tool? Where do you get one, how much, and how quickly? I'm an experienced bike mechanic, but this is my first Ducati. Very different. Very abrupt throttle, very cold blooded, very different and fun addition to my collection. Thanks for any help.

I installed the full Termi system last weekend. The bike runs much stronger but the display is now in Metric and the bike idles at 1500-1600 rpm. Runs fine but will require local dealer to update the system. A friend of mine took his to the dealer and they did it at no charge. Of course, he bought his bike from them, I didn't...
