I can't seem to get the hotbodies supersport tail to fit on my 848. Is the heat shield suppose to be removed, or does it stay on with the rear section?

Welcome to the world of cheap ass fiberglass fairings! I had the same issues with my Optimal Racing fairings, but those had some issues with all the pieces, but the tail was the worst.

They're supposed to work with the heat shield. It may take a bit of modifications, but with enough persistence you can make them fit.
