What are you using to take your baby to the track? Trying to figure out if I should get a pickup and put it in the bed or get a SUV and a trailer.

Post picks of your set-ups. I need some inspiration!!!

I like having the bike on the trailer, so I have the bed of the truck for tools, cooler, etc. and it's easier to get the bike on the trailer than it is in the bed

I had a friends bike in the bed this day.

I have been looking at sprinter vans(Dodge/Volvo/Mercedes). I think one of those done up would be cooler then shit. Wouldn't have to worry about all the extra stuff you would have to deal with a trailer. parking/storage.
Well in the cites anyways I know some of you guys in the burbs/sticks have no problem parking a trailer but in the cites (Minneapolis) you can't leave a trailer unattached on the street. And storage places want min 80$ month for outside storage

I would think they have enough room for a bike/gear/spares and a couple of tool box's.
Sprinter van would be cool.
How do strap the front of the bike in the back of the pick up?

Usually wheel chock butted up against the front of the box to keep the front wheel stable, then straps from the bars via Canyon Dancers down to the hook mounts on the floor of the front of the bed.

Originally bought a small pickup for bike transport to the track because I hated having to bum bike-pools from friends with trailers. Did that for a year with a ramp to get the bike in and out.

Seriously didn't like the process when it rained. Luckily never had a spill, but sketched me out enough to finally get an enclosed...

Just a 5x8, but big enough for 2 full sized bikes with gear/gas/canopy/etc.

What brand is that?

I ran a canyon dancer on the bars, and strap to the front hooks in the bed. WITH GOOD RATCHET STRAPS. Never fails to amaze some of the shit people use to strap stuff down

I have seen guys use the 90's astro/safari vans to. Great vans actually, AWD, hydroboost brakes, good v6's in them. And I agree this is a great option

I have a bit of land, so I stick my little converted jet ski trailer right next to my 18' car trailer when not in use. And my cousin stores his 35' camper here for the winter.

I feel like a camping world dealer right now!!

Damn 7, I use to take a 426 Yama to the Gandy dancer tails every weekend on 1 of the hitch mounts. I bought mine from bob's cycle supply and I think it was rated for 400-450lbs.

I don't think I would've rolled the duc on it though.
You have BB's

There are different versions. Some carry single mx bikes some carry dual mx bikes. This one is for sport bikes up to 600 lbs. I have a 1,000 lb tongue rating and adjustable air ride suspension with auto-level. I honestly can't feel it at all when I'm driving. I can fully load and unload by myself in about 10 minutes. Not sure on the brand but I got it from discount ramps .com
This pulled by a 4Runner. I want to get a small enclosed trailer though in the next few years. I used to use the back of a pick up, but it really is more of an annoyance if there is only one person loading the bike.

I have a small trailer similar in size to gunther's. Used to pull it with my C300...was a bit odd, and got a lot of funny looks from people, but it did the job. Now I upgraded to a Grand Cherokee, because in the future I plan on also upgrading to an enclosed trailer, so I needed more towing power. Haven't got money for another trailer now, but better to be prepared for the future...plus I can put a lot more shit in the Jeep, and I can even sleep in it perfectly fine with the seats folded.

Whatever works right? This dude is local to me- I'm sure he gets a lot of looks too!

^haha...nah, that's actually normal. Most of the car guys that are serious enough about track days, but without enough money for a big ass trailer and a truck do that. Especially at SCCA events, I've seen tons of cars, as small as Honda S2000s and Mazda MX-5's (Miata) pulling little trailers with a spare set of wheels/tires on it. When I went to Road America last time, I realized there are others too so it made me feel better about myself...I think I saw 4 people that day pulling trailers with Mercedes and BMW cars (much more expensive than mine too!!!) :D
We had a guy a couple yrs ago come to a trackday in a Golf R32 with an open trailer behind it. 1098R Bayliss and 999R on the trailer. Blew my mind, but also completely understood. :)
