Short Brake Lever (https://goo.gl/Ybghqm)
My buddy filmed me while I changed the levers on my Ducati 1098S. To my knowledge it is exactly the same as the 848, 1098, 1198, and Panigale 1199 & 1299. For all I know it might be the same with many other models of Ducati's and motorcycles as well.
THREE KEY POINTS:
-If the stock actuator pistons need to be re-used, the pivot sleeve needs to be pressed out to seperate the lever and retrieve the piston.
-Make sure that clutch lever you are ordering has an additional pin sticking out from the bottom which is used to engage the clutch sensor.
(both of these key points are illustrated in the video)
-After installation, make sure the levers or actuator pins are not binding on the master cylinder. That is, make sure free play between the actuator piston and the master cylinder is retained so that the lever are not partially engaging the brake or clutch while riding.
*It's also a good idea to clean all the surrounding areas with a mild solvent to remove old residue and grease lightly all the moving parts.
