So, pretty bored here, so for those less technically capable, here is how I install a TP straight:
1) Clean the tank area with a grease/wax remover
2) apply painters tape to the tank and mark the exact centerline from the 12 o'clock allen bolt through the center of the key flap, to the split in the tank lower panels at the head of the seat:
3) draw diagonal lines from the inside of 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock allens to the outside of the 7 o'clock and 5 o'clock bolts
4) measure further 90mm, and place exact tape markers (if you want the Protector higher or lower, adjust measurement +/-)
5) Peel back ~1" of the backing on the Protector
6) Carefully align the tips at the measured 90mm marks, and align the Centerline with the Center of the Protector (Ducati Corse Shield centerline)
7) Carefully pull the backing further down, pressing the TP into place, without distorting it....maintain centerline towards Seat "split"
8) Press down thoroughly, (better in sunload (sunlight))
9) Finished alignment....:blah:
