Now Winter is here in the UK, I'm finding it hard to ride my 1098s in towns and suburbs in wet conditions. I'm terrified of white lines, manhole covers, overbanding, diesel etc and find it hard to corner at anything other than snail's pace, although I'm OK on fast bendy open roads in the wet.
Oddly, I'm OK on towns in the wet on my BMW R1200GS.
Has anyone any hints on improving my wet town sportsbike riding?
Cheers, Michael.

It's very simple.u can do two thing don't ride it or you get New tires made for those condition.. The OEM tires are made for the track, so the have less grooves. You might what to look at the hyper as a winter bike.

The Diablo Super Corsa Pro's are not fantastic in the wet. I run Pilot Powers during the winter months ..... but the Diablo's rule the summer roads :)
Hints .... avoid the things you listed LOL
