LOL... Yea they can be a little tough, and you may need to "slide-hammer" them out. Sounds more painful than it really is. If you don't have a slide hammer, you can use a small metal hook or a spring puller tool. Give it a good pull and they should break free....

As for the CF parts, here's a break down of what they cost me so far...

Front fender $200
Rear Hugger $170
Exhaust Guard (large) $125
Exhaust Guard (small) $60 "on order, not yet on my bike"
Key / Tank Guard $120
Sprocket Cover $100
Under Tank Kit $480
Air Intake Covers $280 "on order, not yet on my bike"
Swingarm Cover $220 "on order, not yet on my bike"

If you want to know where I got everything, drop me a PM...

On previous Duc's I owned where there was a baffle for noise regulations, the difference was approx 25-30% increase in sound. With some models and exhaust systems the difference in volume (noise) could be as high as, if not above 50%.

As for the power increase, generally as a rule of the thumb, anytime you can help exhale exhaust gasses quicker and not restrict them (as with what baffles do) you have the ponetial to produce more power. I'm not saying you'll feel a great difference, but the potential is there.

The guys at the dealer just used a long rod and hammered them out from the inside out. It put a dent on the inside tip of the baffles, but they aren't noticable when installed. On the other hand, I don't ever put them in anyways.
Mind you, it is pretty friggin loud without them installed.

You'll have to bang them pretty hard to get them out. A slide hammer with a hook will make it happen in about 10 seconds.

You can put some wd40 I guest....wont hurt ! An other way that come to my mind....leave the canister outside at the sun or soak them in hot water and put some ice on the baffle for 1 or 2 min and try it !

The heat will expend the whole thing and the ice will shrink the baffle a little.

But forget all that....take a sledge hammer and a piece of wood and go for it.
