I was cleaning my bike and I seem to remember there used to be more space between the damper and the tank. What do you guys think? Is it swollen or I'm crazy and it's normal.

Looks to be swelling to me, that is a very close gap.

Yes. Get it into a dealer and see if you can get a new tank. FOC of course.

If your tank is swollen, does the dealer replace it with the aluminum one or another plastic?

Unfortunately they replace with plastic.

And it holds about a half a gallon less fuel, just had mine down 2weeks ago.

Get the new one, sell it quick, and then buy aluminum.
