I have owned a couple 1198's over the years and have now joined the 848 side.

picked up a 2012 848 Evo in stealth black

196 miles and comes with full termi kit and CW fender elim kit

first service done and new battery installed right before I bought it.

got her for 8000 dollars ..

I absolutely LOVE the FZ

Awesome power.. really really comfortable.

I had the front and rear suspension done so the bike handles awesome .. went with Penske 8983 double clicker in the back and revalved the front suspension with Penske/Ohlins components.

Added a few other goodies like D-AXIS bar end mirrors with rhinomoto bar ends .. Akrapovic full titanium exhaust .. R&G fender elim kit

The way I compare the 2 ....

the 1198 is an 848 with a supercharger lol


I honestly like the power delivery of the 848 ... the 1198 goes like a bat out of hell of course but the thing I like about the 848 is that the delivery is so much less abrupt. Very happy with the purchase.

I also love the way the Stealth color photographs .. shiny in the light but also dark ..

Out for a ride yesterday morning ..she has a whole 270 miles now haha
