The 998 I have is a stat write off and can never be re-registered in australia. option is to find a 998 frame, (rare as rockinghorse poo) or find an alternative frame and fit my gear into it.

does anyone know if the engine & single sided swingarm from the 2006 S4R 998 monster would fit the 2001 916 monster S4R ?????

I know this sounds like alot of friggin around but if it was an easy fit it may be one way I could get my bike legally back on the road.

I did a search and apparently the engine bolt sizes went from 10mm to 12mm in 2002. also there was something about the injector bodies or something and airbox being different.

the main thing I was concerned with was the swingarm and engine fitting correctly.

any help appreciated!

SSSA should bolt right and good to go. I have searched countless threads about converting to a SSSA.

Quick and easy swap, good luck and keep us posted. Part out the left overs and you might break even on one of them
