1st, I took the 2 bolts out that hold the hugger on. Dont have a hugger, thats OK, Ducati drilled and tapped the holes for you. Under the black plugges. Take off the rear set.
Loosen the chain guide bolts.
I used a impact to take the rear sprocket off, as the chain was in the way, and I did not want to brake it, and having the sprocket out of the way was a help.

I used the hugger bolt holes as a guide to mark the hole, then drilled 1/4 holes in the cover. I mised by 1/2 a hole and had to drill beside the 1st hole, but it will be coverd by the hugger.

Now, carefully slide the back of the cover under the rear chain guard, by slideing the cover as far forwerd as possible.
Now you can slide it back, under the rear top chain guard.
The front of the cover will slide under the front chain guide.

Now it is in held in possision by the two hugger bolts, in front by the chain guide, and the rear chain guard

Now all thats left is to reinstall all the things taken off. :blah:

As long as I was at it, I installed a Moto Wheels shark fin. All you old dirt bikers know how usefull this is to keep all your diggets.

Take out the two screws out of the lower chain guide. Slide it under, reinstall bolts.

I hope this helps.

The one on sale has flaws, fiber pulls. But it is as nice as my emoto lowers, and they were not on sale.

WOW! That covers almost the entire viewable area of the swingarm.
Jwalig,

Carbon Fiber that actually adds weight! I love it! What will they think of next?

Elton,
I am with you 100%, Carbon Fiber adds weight. But...
I feel this is weight I can live with, just like fraim slides. 3 lbs I can live with.
A swingarm is $2500 plus laber., and we all know I tend to fall down.

Maybe so but it also adds protection. CF can look like $hit over time from the sun, tread lightly.

To tell the truth, I have no expereance with CF over time. I have heard you speak of this before, but am concernd that the clear its self may yellow, or have a cem. reaction with the CF and just make more problems for myself.
The only time my bikes are in the sun, is when I am riding, and we have ne Starbucks to park and pose. :p
