Ok, I finally got my escort redline mounted in the middle of my triple fork using a ram ball mount.
The problem I have now is I can not see the display as it is behind my small motoport tank mount bag.
Now I have the visual alert to hook to my detector and it sends a blue tooth signal to a small led light inside my helmet.
How can I set it up with an audio alert instead?
Buy a newer bluetooth enabled detector and a sencha headset for the helmet?
Is this all worth the hassle or are most guys going to fast that the radar detectors are useless by the time it goes off?

I'd rather be looking up and ahead. The last 2 times I got nailed I saw the cop, he didn't know I saw him. I played nice, they caught up to me and let me off with a warning.

It's kinda worthless to me. I went down ur road when I first started riding thinking it would "help" in certain situations... Nice clean install of my escort 8500 then a month into riding I ditched it

I am almost at the point of giving up with the radar detector as I can not see it visually and do not like having to look down at it and my tank bag is in the way anyway.
Audio is useless I think as the bike is so loud.
I figure I will just use the hookup for my phone when I need a gps map.

The downside here by me is that there are lots of cops and they always drive with radar on.
I know its only a matter of time until they drive by me and turn around and nail me.

It's the luck of the draw man just be more cautious while riding than. I feel ya about the radar though I have one in my car and can't drive without one but on my bike it's different I gave up. And choose my times when to have alittle fun
