848 evo corse se... 5000 km on the bike, and just pulled it out of the basement to clean up and prepare it for the summer. Problem is, the clutch won't engage. l let the bike warm up to operating temp, but when I try to engage first gear with the brake applied I can feel it trying to jump ahead, and then it just stalls. The clutch lever has no resistance at all... I have been riding for 40 years, am mechanically inclined, but never seen this before. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.....

To be quite honest, I know my way around a car and somewhat around a bike, I assume mechanical principles are the very similar. But like W848Evo said, I would try bleeding it and if that doesn't work..look into the slave.

Well, there was some air in the system. I bled the line until pure fluid was coming out, but nothing changed. Then I noticed a nipple on the handle bars ( clutch side ) and bled that as well, quite a bit of air there. All is good, thanks to all for the help..
