More parts for the rest of us ;)

You are going to need a warehouse the size of Heathrow T5 at this rate!!!
You must have enough spares to rebuild that one.
Yes, it's getting rebuilt...not that much majorly wrong with it tbh & I have all the bits so it'll be mint in no time & someone will be enjoying it!

Well done, Moly. Glad you're bringing the Desmo back to life. What's the build number?
Would love to know the story about the fire, when/where it happened and how the rider managed to put it out before it consumed the entire bike -- fire extinguisher/water hose luckily to hand? Hope the previous owner wasn't injured.
That isn't the name of the owner Olaf, not the 1 I have anyway! What gives you that idea? I'm curious!
Follow the link to the actual thread and cut to the chase.

Similar cause perhaps, but doubtful this is Moly's bike...

"After about one minute the tank exployed [exploded] in the air with only +/- 5-7 liters of gasoline in the tank when it happend. Then the motorcycle completely burned away, in no time to crisp. Afterwards the vehicle may considered gone."
Mine has come from the Isle of Mann & certainly not exploded or burned away. It was TT fortnight so marshals & fire extinguishers were plentiful...he's noticed it's on fire so pulled over as close to a Marshall as poss before he went up with it, even managed to put the stand down & it was then put out with an extinguisher! He walked away unscathed but no doubt gutted!!
I'll list everything it needs in future posts but it looks lots worse than it is...mainly wiring, rad, airbox, tank & bodywork though, nothing too scary! 1 of mine has been dropped off where it's getting done & they'll have that side by side with this 1 to ensure everything is exactly where it should be, clips facing the right way etc etc so it's as per it left the factory!

Should you require one and not have it in stock, I have a new-in-the-package OEM wiring harness 51015131B (list price $1540) available for sale. I have it offered for $1200, including shipping worldwide.

If you need one, I also have part 8410611A, called "upper bracket," but the Italian part name on the package is Risonatore. This item #14 on Frame drawing 007. The ECU bolts to it up in the nose and it acts as a resonating chamber.

Perhaps you'd prefer to entertain a trade for other parts.
