Hi everybody, long time fan new owner of a 996. I'm not used to the cramped leg position on the bike, and I'm 5'10", any GOOD options as far as foot peg upgrades??

Woodcraft and set them as low as they go. Or you may be able to find a set of Sato ones for a decent price, they have good adjustability.

Hey there John,
I just got a 748 and find it a bit cramped also, going to get woodcraft clip-ons with 1" rise.
For the pegs I see on the woodcraft website they only move forward and option to go up.
Im thinking of making a adapter plate to drop the pegs 20-25mm, I think to do this they will have to go back about 10mm but still will get some extra leg room, I cant believe no has done this before.

So, I managed to make the adapter plates, moved the pegs down about 23mm and back 12mm,
this has made a HUGE difference! The bike is comfortable to ride now. My legs sit a bit lower on the tank but still grip in corners.
