The answer was yes. PB uses a real road, two runs, swapping riders for each run. It is their real world straight line speed comparison. The 1098 dusted the GSXR in both runs by one bike length. GSXR lost both runs. 1098 was described as being insanely quick to rev up - very un-twin like. It is a one page article, but an interesting one for anyone concerned that the 1098 is not going to have the juice of a Japanese 1000.
