Just a few for now... couldn't find any of this in the manual:


1) What is redline on the 1098?

2) At what rpm does the rev limiter kick in?

3) What is the maximum speed (@redline) in each gear?

4) What is the recommended tire pressure in psi?

Well the red starts at the first little blue dot, and then the biggest dot is the limiter where it cuts out. I'm not sure about speed, but I can tell you that in first you can easily do 60 but I'm not sure how fast until redline, and sixth the bike cuts out at 186mph.

I also would have to have a look for psi, but I believe it says it on the tire? If not it's most definitely in the manual.

The tire pressure in the manual is in bars or some such units. Search the forum, the PSI is in here somewhere. Low 30's, I believe...

I have questioned this and most people run at the following pressures (within reason it's regardless of the bike, it's usually wheel and tire that matter):

Street: 31F/34R

Track: 30F/28R

The recommended tire pressures are on a sticker on the right side of the bike just below the gas tank....from what I remember.

No stickers on my bike and the manual doesn't give tire pressure in PSI. But the good 'ol search found some very interesting and informative posts.
