The model Ohlins that comes out on the 1098R models (TTX) is worth considering.
They occasionally come up for a fair price (which is how I got mine).
They feel a bit more sophisticated again than the basic one on the S models.
But yes - you will need to set it up for your weight. These bikes generally come out with a rear spring to cope with a passenger, and are hence too stiff for the average-weight rider solo.
The correct spring for your weight, set the sag, and off you go. You will love the upgrade - it gives your bike a more 'quality' feel, and copes with bumps way better.
