I didnt ride for about 1.5 weeks and had some oil dripping from what looks like near the oil filter when i was warming it up for 10 minutes. Nothing was leaking before i started it up. Anyone have any similar issues? Could be that the oil filter came loose i imagine.

My bike after the first 200 miles developed an oil leak. It turned out to be a faulty layshaft seal. You are probably still covered under the warranty if tightening the filter does not work, yiu may want to get the bike inspected. The Ducati warranty was great and my bike has worked flawlessly for several thousand miles.

mine has leaked twice. first around 1000 miles one bolt didn't have lock tight they said. and the second time 4500 mi. just happened, I dropped it off wed. hope to get it back soon with an answer but the guy there said he had a rock or something hit the filter and it was leaking from an unusual place on the backs side of the filter. i'll let you know what it is when i find out.

I have actually had my lower cylinder in for both a Valve Cover Seal leak and also a Headgasket leak earlier this year. I was severely disappointed at first but now - 3000 miles later - I hardly even remember that it was something that happened.

yes they replaced the oil filter (possible rock hit). dealer said it wasn't covered under ducati warranty but i called ducati USA, most helpful person I have ever dealt with, to try and speed up the process as it was taking too long for them to fix the problem and dealer kept telling me they couldn't get in touch with ducati. after talking to ducati and getting them involved the dealer decided to cover it. the filter wasn't really my worry (not expensive to replace) but if it wasn't covered under warranty my shop charges a $130 fee just to look at it. I really don't agree with that but it all worked out no issues since. I will be doing an oil change in spring so everything should be fine.

just did a oil change as i thought my oil filter was the issue with my leak, turns out the leak is still there but just a little bit slower. doesn't drip but the filter has a thin layer of oil on it. going to take it in soon for warranty.
