The weather in VA was beautiful this weekend, but I only got to enjoy it on the 1098 Saturday. Why you may ask? Well, becuase I spent most of the rest of the holiday in a rum bottle. My buddy dropped her. Fluke u-turn f**k up, but the end result is she's out of commission for a bit. The following needs to be replaced...

Left mid fairing
Lower fairing
Clutch lever
Bar end
Left peg
Shifter
Both mirrors
Side stand

Makes me sick at my stomach, but I know it could have been much worse. No damage to the tail, termis, swing arm, wheels or forks.

So, since the lower is being replaced anyway I was thinking I may foot the additional money and get the Shift-Tech carbon lower. I'm interested in hearing from those who have them, especially Guido and Visitor Q since his just got put on. Is it worth the money? Looks? Fit? Should I expect the same clearance problems with my Termi pipes?

Lemme know guys, want her back together as soon as possible...

I got paint codes from Ducati. Problem is, they use "Palini" paint ?? My paint guy is still trying to figure out how to mix it.

My buddy. Normally don't let others ride my bikes, but he's the best rider I know. Just one of those things.

Don't rub salt in the wound...

Anyone with input on the carbon lower?

Really sorry to hear about this but thank God you did not bang the swingarm etc.. Pieces like that are not so easy to replace, that’s for sure!

You right, I just installed my CF lowers last week but mine did not come from Shift-Tech, God I wish they did. They came from that $hithole company eMotoUK who I do not recommend buying from, I won’t rehash the details. Guido seems like a stand up guy and I have heard great things about his business and products, he seems to very honest as well. As I said before, I don’t plan on buying CF anywhere else but from him in the future. Infact I am considering a purchase right now even though I wish he would get those damn tail sections back in with the trunk! :cussing: Oh well, not his fault but I hope he has me in mind when he does get them. hint, hint ;)

I’d say go for it! Those bellypan’s look slick and even if mine is not from Shift-Tech, it still looks pretty cool! :smoking:

Jason, thanks for your response. I'm literally on the phone with the parts guy having to make a decision. Getting the carbon lower from Shift-Tech.

Good Deal. Tell Guido to just PayPal me my usual commission rate when you order. ;)

Apparently you type waaaayyyy faster than I do. When I hit reply, nothing. When I come back half in an hour later... presto, yours is before mine. I smell conspiracy.

KOS' eMoto bellypan pics

As for the carbon lower, (and I can't believe I'm having to say this to you Jason), Post Pix.
C'mon Jason, you of ALL people not posting pics of the CF Lower on your bike. What's up! We want to see it.
He probally has not installed yet.
Guys,

Don't you remember? On October 2nd, 2007, KOS posted 5 pics of his uninstalled eMoto CF belly pan in a thread entitled, "eMotoUK Carbon Fiber Belly Pan Review."
(http://www.ducatispot.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2572 &highlight=emoto+belly+pan) Ultimately, Alvin had to close the thread 'cause KOS talked megasmack about eMoto even though he didn't even buy the belly pan from eMoto!

Let's not encourage KOS to revisit that baseless attack.

I will be sure to post pix this weekend if it's nice out. Right now it's raining and the bike has the tail off it because I had to pull the tail light, it stopped working (you may have read).

Elton, please...for the love of God. Is this shyte necessary? I really do want to see the pics of the installed belly pan because I'm getting one. What's with the attempted hijacking?

Has anyone else bought/installed/has pics of the Shift-Tech one installed? (Preferably on a red bike :D)

Looking forward to your pix Jason.
