Anybody know if the Pani can be converted to GP shift just by flipping the shift rod on the tranny splines? I've been eyeing the reverse quick shifter rod DP makes but I don't want to spend any more money than the rod ($305) to do the conversion.

For anyone who cares, my research suggests it'll work. I'm going to try it while I'm installing my new clutch slave when it comes in. I'll just hafta disable the quick shifter until I can money up and get the reverse shift quick shifter lever for $300.

I have the GP shift woodcraft rearsets for my 899 race bike. It works with the stock quick shifter without issue.

Have them on my 1199 as well. Great quality and costumer service from Woodcraft. Pretty sure you can easily purchase any individual replacement parts if needed. Great people to work with...

While Woodcrafts are solid rearsets (had them on my R6 track bike), because my Pani is also for the street I'm all set with Woodcraft products and how their anodizing turns purple in like one summer. I already have Rizomas, just need to land the reverse QS deal when I get the $$.

Never had the purple problem... Been using Woodcraft rear sets for five years or more... I guess my bikes doesn't see much sunlight as they have been track dedicated and only get out to play five or six times a year. As I said above their customer service is fantastic, With your issue with the anodizing turning purple I'd bet they would replace it...

Just info, as I see all that you were looking for was the mod for your existing rear sets...

I actually did call them and they offered me replacement parts at a discounted rate which wasn't enough IMO. They said it could be a bad batch but they're notorious for it. I can spot a WC parts from a mile away because they're all purple except in cases like yours where they don't see daylight as much as street bikes do.

I have some Woodcraft engine protectors......they were black when purchased.....they have now turned a brown colour.....doesn't bother me as they still work......I do tend on track days when I'm tired just glare at them wondering what colour they really are...!

FWIW- DucaBike rear sets are able to convert to GP Shift without ANY additional parts or anything. Sure tried doing it many times and just cannot get it down no matter how long and how hard i tried. Will leave it up to you guys to do it for me k

I have been running Woodcraft rearsets on my Honda for 20 years, and the color is like the first day! There clear anodized .

Black and clear anodized is different. Black definitely changes to purple on any bike that spends time out in the sun's rays long enough.

I can convert my Rizomas to GP right now but I need that part to retain the quick shifting feature.
