Anyone worked with perf metal or wire mesh to cover up the vents right below your knees at the top of the fairings? I'm trying to find something that I can mold in and secure somehow.

There is plenty of stuff at Home Depot to do this. Stainless steel grate for ac units. The problem is getting them to hold. Matty on the board used some stuff to do this and it took a few tries but he got it finally. I'll send him the link so he can post up what he did.

i used a letter tray that was from staples. mesh looked very nice. I just cut out the piece and used RTV silicone on the inside of the faring to make it stick.

As long as the mesh is below the surface of the panel its ok, the 02 748s had mesh inserts flush with the surface of the fairing where your knees rest and with in a several ride it wore a huge hole in my jeans from the contact.

Good to know...mine's more at an angle so the only issues will be my motivation and abilities.....
