I test rode a HM for about an hour and loved it...but I always wondered if it would get 'old' after a couple thousand miles but it sounds like it won't by your comments.

Man, if only I could add a Monster, HM, and a MTS to my stable...lol.

My Hyper has about 2,500 miles on it. I can't wait till the next ride. It is that much fun. It never gets old with this bike.

Fabulous! Don't they look like a nice couple!

There was a post on here by a guy providing a link to his home made video on a Hyper. After watching it, I came so close to wanting to buy one myself! Great Bike and looks like lots of fun...

I picked up a brand new '08 1098S over the weekend. It looks good next to my Hyper S. I rode the 1098 all day Sunday. What an awesome bike.
Dude, those two machines compliment each other so well! Congrats and enjoy!

Nice pair of bikes!

Believe it or not, it was a toss-up for me on which to get...a 1098 or a HM. Fortunately for me though, my indecisiveness paid off this time, and I got a VERY sweet deal on a 1098S (very lightly used with just over 100 miles). Now I know it's going to take some time to convince the wife to allow me to add a second bike to the collection, maybe a year or so. ;)

The more I look at the Hypermotard the more I like it but I am a full fairing bike guy and the Hypermotard reminds me of a streetfighter bike... YUCK! So with that said, I would never not take the 1098 over the Hype.

Jason,

Both are two totally differnet bikes. I love em both. The 1098 is just insane power and speed. They Hyper is great in low speed turns. You can put the bike any where you want it and it goes keeps on going. I took the Hyper 3 weeks ago to Deals Gap ( Tail of the Dragon) and it was a blast. Next year I plan on taking the 1098S down there. 1098 is still the top bike in the world of Ducati next to the Desmo 16RR that comes out next year. I can't wait to see and hear that thing.

Hey if you can swing it I would say go for it. It's a nice combo to have. The Hyper is a much more comfortable bike to ride and you can ride around town all day long with no heat issues and be totally comfortable on it.

Jason,

I can't find who it was, but there is a member on this forum who posted this link to a home made video of himself on a HM. Take a look at it, I swear I've watched it 50 times, he's a professional as far as I'm concerned.

I make sure to watch it in the evenings, because after I'm done, I head to the door towards a dealership, only at that hour they're all closed ;)

If I could, I'd add that bike to my stable as well!

Well....it did not make me going to the dealer however, the video itself is quite nicely set up...this guy knows how to cut together some video... :yo:
