I have got the cans fitted with my standard system until I get to 600 miles the I will fit the new pipework and have the bike set up and serviced at the same time.

Just used my dremmel with the round sanding wheels to smooth the welds then used a polishing mop in my power drill which was clamped in a workbench, I then used two grades of polishing paste then solvol chrome polish to buff them up, hard work but it really makes them look decent quality now !!!

I think I'm going to do the same thing, only I'll leave it for my winter project!! Don't forget to show us some pic's with it installed after you're done.

I've polished alot of pieces on a wheel and man do I know what you went through. Really, really nice work. I hope they stay that way once they're cooked.

On my 749R I just polished them (The parts that you can see) every couple of weeks with some chrome polish (solvol) with a cloth, only takes about 10/15 mins if you keep on top of them, they still change colour with the heat though.
