Race Fairing Fixing

Hi all,

Does anyone know where I can get this fixing adaptor that slots in to the eom mirror supports, but has a dzus fastener where the normal hole is for the mirror retaining screw?

Picture attached..

Thanks

Those are special corse bits… probably impossible to get. I use to zip tie my fairings onto the standard fairing stay because it was so easy. The aftermarket fairing stays have a flat spot where the fairings meet and you can simply throw an old school clip-on style dzus fastener holder. So if you're building a track bike, buy an aftermarket fairing stay and everything makes more sense. If it's a street bike your converting for a few track days a year, just zip tie it… much easier! :)

He probably knows about the zip-tie method. I use it too. Where I don't care a lot, he seems to want to have the best approach (the item in the pic, used on a stock fairing stay).

Unfortunately, this is the 1st ive seen of this too. I will watch this thread, I'd buy them if it was cheap enough.
Thanks guys.

Yeah, used the tip-wrap method many many times, but it just looks shoddy - fine for a one off. I've got some block off too, but not really what I'm trying to achieve.

As Argo (great name and brilliant film), the nail has been hit on the head. The picture is of Checa's F11 superbike and does indeed appear to have the street fairing stay.

I'm going to see if I can try and make one. Looks like a couple of the stalks have been removed from the mirrors, some how attached to a block of metal that has a dzus fastener on the other side. Not sure if it'll be as user friendly as I want it to be, but one can only try...!
