I am setting the sag on my 1098 today, I am 165 lbs with full gear on.

The front has been set to 30mm and i found that i had to turn out the adjusters 4 full turns out to get to the right sag. Does this sound right for my weight?

Rear sag looks to be 21mm for my weight, so i am painfully trying to adjust that now, its a very slow process. My question is how much (approx) will one complete turn on the rear shock give you in sag 2mm 4 mm ?? and do you guys use any sort of lub on the threads to make the nut turn any easier?

Thanks in advance for your replys

I am around the same weight as you and I too had to turn the front adjusters out an extra 4 turns to get to 37mm sag. At the back I had to turn the nut about 4/5 full turns to acheive 27mm rear sag.

No it does not, first the springs in the Showa forks are 10.0Nmm, these are to stiff for your weight, second the RIDER sag number should be 40MM.

Again the spring on the Showa shock is too stiff for your weight, I recommend 30MM rider sag.
