Hi guys!

Anybody knows in there a plastic rear tire hugger made for the 1098?
I like to have it painted in red, since i am not in the carbon fiber look.

I was wondering, is it due to the fact that the heat affects the right side where the pipe goes up??????

If i dont find it, i was checking the possibility of getting a carbon fiber one and then have it painted in red, but my concern is, if it affects the plastic maybe it can affect the paint as well...

Anybody has any experience with a painted rear tire hugger in a 1098???

Any imput will be highly appreciated!!!

Thanks!

I posted a similar question and a I've decided that I'm going to get a shift tec hugger (as they are the best looking design in my opinion) and paint it because I too do not like the CF look. I'll let you know how it works out. I intend to paint it black and I'll use heat resistant paint

Oh my God! Get some carbon, termi mufflers and a ducati jacket quickly. Non-conformist! Please tell me you have an open clutch cover?

My hugger is painted and I've had no problem either with pipe contact or paint blistering. The CF ones can be painted with no problem as long as you follow standard painting procedures. By the way PPG makes a single stage urethane called "Concept" which I use alot. The color "Torrid Red" is a dead nuts match for the Duc red.

No prob! I'll be glad then to help spread the word. By the way, does your hugger that's specific for the full Termi's still work/look fine with the standard pipe clearance as I would perhaps upgrade to the 70mm.'s later on?
