I just got a '03 ST4s, and it's missing the left side outer rear wheel spacer.

I can make one with a lathe, if I had the one dimension I can't measure off the wheel: Its length. OD, ID, flange, etc, I can measure. But not length. The 'net says it's the same part for a bunch of bikes, including ST2 '01-'03, ST3 '05-'07, ST4 (all?), Monster 1000 '03-'05, Monster 900 '02, and Monster S4, '01 and '02

Any of you have one you can measure? (or one out of a parts bin to sell me for less than silly retail prices?)

My 01 ST4,(which will be the same) Measures ID 30.07....OD 44.98..Width 8.7..it has a 45 Degree taper on one side, which leaves 2.6mm flat from the hole and 4mm flat of the OD, The taper BTW goes inward

Not perfect, but well within "good enough"

Holding on to something so thin in a lathe is tricky. It was some random piece of super thick wall tube (or a cut off from another project) so I don't know what kind of steel it is.

the important dimensions:
  • the width of the bearing contact area,
  • the inside diameter
  • the length

Are all correct enough, so it should work just fine.

And it does. Thanks again.
