How do you remove the evap can on the US supplied fuel tanks? What are the pros and cons?

There are no cons (maybe you won't pass emission but I haven't heard), you can do it your self with items from the auto store or buy this kit with directions. Pro saves weight cleans up the crap.

I'd add I asked the mechanic he said they were garbage and mine magically disappeared after my service. I had already purchased the delete kit so I gave it to a member here.

There should be no negative side-effects by removing it although everyone thinks they are ugly, I find it worse looking when removed. I thought about gutting the original canister or making another one for a small tool storage.

I didn't even know that eliminator kit existed! I just removed and plugged it when I had my monster..still need to do it to the 848
