I have faith in Rossi. Whoregay won his 2 championships because "stuff" happened to his main title challengers (Rossi breaking his leg in 2010 and Stoner in 2012). He never won by beating everyone fair and square. The way I see it, he's the one that needs stuff to happen to Rossi in order to win. If Rossi finishes the remaining 4 races without crashing, he will win the championship!

I admit whoregay is a fast bastards though...

well that's obvious, yes lol....but it doesn't even have to be that much. I reckon just 1 or 2 races ahead of him will be enough. Jorge will fuck up something and take himself out of contention.
With Magic Marc still in it to win/bin it, anyone in close proximity of him is in danger of not completing the race. And the Pedrobot resurgence may reek havoc with the results. A crash from either of the Yamahas will blow this thing wide open.

You can certainly say that for a lot of guys that have won a title, no?
'92.. Rainey.. Doohan's crash..
'93.. Schwantz.. Rainey's crash..
'06.. Haydon.. Rossi's crash..

Just a few that came immediately to mind.
I want to see number #10 as well, but Jorge is in "shark" mode bringing the "hammer" during the races..

Things would be a lot different right now if Jorge didn't crash in Misano..

Going to be exciting.. And I do think that Rossi will have to beat Jorge somewhere to win the title.
Maybe P.I. Or Sepang?
We will see.. But that little yellow fish needs some good Q-2 performances.. and some help from Marc in my eyes..

The better that Marc does, the better for Rossi in my eyes..
Stay tuned..

Well Lorenzo just sprained a shoulder in a mini-bike accident while training.....tension is rising!
some interesting and probably redundant stats. if both rossi and lorenzo finish exactly like they did last year rossi wins. if they finish like last year but lorenzo wins the last race, rossi still wins. last season rossi had one dnf and lorenzo two. so far this year rossi has zero dnf's and lorenzo has one. i'm not sure if any of these two have ever finished a season without at least one dnf but rossi sure needs a bit of luck given the odds, which will make a 10th title quite an accomplishment. it could not be more intense...

Marc could help to disrupt Jorge but my concern would be Marc finishing ahead of Val and taking needed points from him. Rossi needs to beat Both Marc and Jorge...

I do agree.. I just see Marc as a win it or bin guy till the end. So if he wins? That keeps Jorge from taking max points. If Marc bins it? If Rossi ends up behind Jorge? Point losses are minimized.

I do hope that Rossi finds the top step at least once in the final 4.. That I do..

Going to be tense .. And exciting none the less..

I don't disagree, but I don't think it matters where Marc places, so long as Jorge finishes in front of Rossi, Jorge will win number three, but if Rossi stays in front of Jorge the story is different. Jorge is running out of races.

Telling you,... Those Spanish guys are thick as thieves.... Lorenzo has Pedrosa help him out last race by holding off Rossi... Now he will have both Marquez, and Pedrosa running interference in the next race... it is time for the Spanish Racers in MotoGP, just like it is time for the Brits in WorldSBK
Sooo, when is the USA, AUS, (just now realized we have the same letters!), and the rest of the world gonna catch up????....just askin.....

Italy's doing fine too Bob. After all they have Rossi...plus a bunch of other riders in all the GP classes.

As far as the Rossi vs Lorenzo thing...why are you guys assuming that Lorenzo will be out front in each race and it's all a matter of whether Rossi will finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th?? Rossi did win multiple races this year fair and square. He has the skill to be out front. For the most part he's just had some bad luck with his starts and position on the grid, but his pace has been very similar to Lorenzo and Marquez. Don't underestimate The Doctor!

Lorentho will not be out-qualified by Rossi. Lorentho will not be out-dragged by Rossi to the first corner. There has to be some outside interaction to disrupt those two scenarios. Someone else needs to get in front of Jorge into the first corner to give Rossi a fighting chance. Lorentho is just too damned fast.
I seem to recall a certain Whoregay completely botch the start at COTA last year....nobody's perfect ;)
