:banghead: Hi guys.

I had my bike in for the 600mile service and asked the guys to POLISH some minor scratches out for me on the side fairing....and it went seriously BAD!

Firstly they used the wrong color touch-up paint to cover the scratches, then it looks like they used a type of rubbing compound on it to flatten the touch up paint. Now I have alot of dull spots on the side. They took the gloss off the paint!

To say I am totally F$#@-off, is an understatement!:wtf:

Any solutions that you can suggest that I do to fix this? I tried to polish it back up to get the gloss back, but to no avail.

No, I had the termi slip-ons fitted on delivery, and the stock ECU was replaced with a Race ECU, the stalling happened over and over, then Ducatii had the recall on the ECU's. Took mine in got a new race ECU, still stalled, then Ducati sent out a remapping of the ECU. Took it back and had the mapping done, stopped stalling for 1000km, Now its back!

Thats in short, the full story is part of the beginning of the thread, Jason. Remember, it stalled, locked the back wheel and dropped the bike. Dealer "repaired" the scratches, and it came back worse etc etc. (Recap)

As what I have been observing, I have 2 choices left....

1) Cams reworked (warranty)

2) Change to full termis (another $2200)

3) Sell

Ok, yeah I remember now...

Cripes, tough break for sure. I do feel for ya and am sorry to hear you are still having issues at this point when it seems that most of the other bikes have been corrected.

Did the Slip-on come with the Race ECU? Did they determine the Race ECU to be bad? I don't recall hearing any problems with them or did they just replace it ya think to say they did and eliminate that factor?

Do you think the full system will really correct the problem? My suggestion would be a Power Commander and a custom map, that will only set you back $250 and be worth it weather it correct the issue or not.
