I just recently put the t-Rex frame sliders on my 2011 848 evo. On Sunday installed them, and last night on the way to work 4 deer ran out in front of me and I went down. So I'm looking for new fairings, I looked up the oems and for everything they want 2,750. Does anyone have sugg where to get less expensive and reliable? I looked on eBay and I can get some from china for 6-700$, but my roommate said not to get from china. Looking for advise.

Check out Sharkskinz..they have a street trim which will keep the headlights and tail light, they are costly but a lot less than OEM..probably around $1000 for a whole set, but they will need to be painted also. Much better quality than the Chinese ABS plastic fairings though

Option 2:

Carbon Fiber with Fiberglass reinforcement. Lighter and stronger than fiberglass, fits great and looks great. A little more than Sharkskinz with member discount, but worth it, and about half the price as OEM. Race fairings shown, but I have a street version available too.

I've experienced one of the Chinese kits and it fit perfect. The paint was not perfect as it had a couple of flaws but the kit cost me $485 painted and shipped. Been on the bike for almost 3yrs now.
